Globalization, with its attendant rapid change, is a fact of life.

"Today, we have a global integration of technology, finance, trade, and information that is influencing wages, interest rates, living standards, culture, job opportunities, wars, and weather patterns all over the world. The democratization of technology, finance, and information has changed how we communicate, how we invest, and how we look at the world. It is forcing people to change from thinking first locally and then globally, to thinking first globally and then locally."
